Step by step installation

After downloading has finished, you have to double click on the icon of the downloaded programme. This starts the programme installation process. “Installation of Account Studio demo“ is started, necessary programmes are installed and your computer is adjusted, so that you can safely use AccountStudio ERP software.

In order to install software, the user has to be logged in with admin-rights.

If you are convinced that you wish to install the programme, click on the button “Edasi” (“Next”) in the first window. In order to cancel installation, there is a button „Loobu“ (“Cancel”). Corresponding instructions appear in the opened window.

If you have decided to try the programme, the next window appears (Figure 2) where installation location is determined for the programme in your computer. Automatically, a new subfolder “Vesiir” is created in file “Program Files” in C Disk (or any other programme disk of your computer).

If you wish to determine a suitable folder yourself, click the button “Sirvi” (“Browse”) and show the place where the programmes will be installed. In order to cancel the activity, click on the button “Loobu” (“Cancel”).

In case your computer has a folder with the same name, a warning appears on the screen to ask if you are sure you wish to install the programmes in this folder (Figure 3). By clicking “Yes”, the files are installed in the selected folder. By clicking “No”, previous window is displayed (Figure 2) and you are asked to select a new location.

After clicking “Yes”, the installation continues – a window is displayed where you have to select the components you wish to install. All in all, five different programmes are installed in the user’s computer. Two of them (Zebedee security channel and Firebird SQL client) are obligatory in order to make utilization secure and guarantee access to Vesiir’s server. Other three are programme modules Finance, Stock, and Salary and wages (Figure 4).

The user has to select the modules s/he wants to try and fill in the corresponding check boxes (by ticking). As you continue, the selected modules will be installed.

After that a shortcut folder is created in the Start Menu of your computer in order to start the programme modules. The folder receives a default name “Vesiir”, but if you wish, you can change it (Figure 5). If you do not wish to change it, click the button “Edasi” (“Next”).

In the following window (Figure 6) you are asked to decide if you wish to create shortcuts on the desktop for starting the programme (by making or not ticking the box). If you wish, you will have to decide whether the programme shortcuts are created for all the users of the computer (in case other people use the computer), or just for you (a dot in front of the selection). After having made your choice, click “Edasi” (“Next”).

Now you have done everything that is necessary for installation, and the computer will be operating itself. Before you move on, a summary of your choices is displayed to you (Figure 7), and you can once again review everything.

If you wish to change anything else, now is the last opportunity to return to the stage where you have a chance to make changes. In order to do that, click on the button “Tagasi” (“Back”) until the window of the wanted change is displayed.

After checking and agreeing with the settings, click on the button “Paigalda” (“Install”). After that, installation of the components is started, the process of which is shown by the next window that appears. A window is displayed (Figure 8) at the end of the installation process which informs you of that. You can mark by clicking on the button “Lõpeta” (“Finish”) to start the installed module(s) immediately.

Starting our programmes for the first time

If your Windows Firewall is turned on or you use any other antivirus/Firewall software, you need to allow the components to be connected with the Internet when our programmes are started for the first time.  In Windows XP  a security warning is shown in Figure 9. Here you should answer either “Unblock”, or if you are not completely sure about your choice, choose “Ask me later”.

Logging in the programme

In order to use the programme, you have to enter your user name and password in the login dialogue box (Figure 10). The user name of the demo user is DEMO and password is demo.

Adding and removing programme modules

Adding modules (components)

If you selected only a few of the programme modules (e.g. Finance) during the initial installation and later you wish to install other modules (e.g. Stock), you need to restart the installer and select the wanted modules on the list of components (Figure 4).

NB! In case of contract users (not demo version) the key file given to the user is necessary for installation.

Removal of modules (components)

Currently, it is not possible to remove a single module. In order to remove a module, the whole programme package has to be completely removed from the computer and when installing the programme again, only the selected modules have to be selected. An alternative is to manually delete the corresponding modules and their shortcuts.

Removal of the whole programme package from the computer

In order to remove the whole programme package, select Settings::Control Panel::Add or Remove Programs, choose „Vesiir OÜ tarkvara“ (“Vesiir OÜ software) (in case of demo version „Vesiir OÜ tarkvara demo“ (“Vesiir OÜ software demo”)) and tick „Remove“. Files of the user setting preferences located in the programme folder (default „c:\Program Files\Vesiir“) will not be removed, you can delete these manually.
